Aluminium Clamping Square with Clamps – 120mm x 120mm
Clamping squares are ingenious products, they are widely used in endless projects in the workshop, from cabinet construction to general joint making. The problem has always been securing them to your work quickly and easily. Using F or G clamps is hard and cumbersome, especially when the excess clamping capacity of the clamps are constantly overlapping. The clamps supplied with this kit have been purposefully designed for clamping squares, ensuring that quick and easy clamping is always possible. The clamp consists of a star knob, a machined aluminium clamping jaw and an L shaped piece of stainless steel with a fast action acme thread. There are five holes along each square to enable you to clamp either close or further away from the joint. An engineer’s corner on the inner apex of the square allows adjoining workpieces to sit securely against the inner faces of the clamping arms.
The clamping square and the clamp jaw have both been precision CNC machined from single pieces of aircraft grade aluminium. This material is used for its mechanical stability and the fact that it maintains close tolerances once it has been machined, ensuring it will be true. Tools machined from a single piece of aluminium are far more precise than those that are pressed or moulded. It has guaranteed accuracy to 0.01mm per 10mm squareness. The square has also been specifically hardened to ensure it remains true while under the high clamping forces. The aluminium components have been finished by electrochemical anodisation making them durable and scratch resistant, this also ensures they will not mark your work.
The kit contains 1 clamping square and 2 lots of components to create two clamps. The clamps have a clamping capacity of 65mm. The clamping square has an outside dimension of 120mm and an inside dimension of 95mm, it is 16mm thick. ©
