Random Orbital Sander – 150mm, 3.0 Orbit
This Rutlands® random orbital sander simultaneously rotates the sanding pad and moves it in small 3.0mm orbits. This sanding pattern ensures that no single part of the abrasive travels the same path twice during the same rotation. It leaves no swirl or scratch marks and is not sensitive to the direction of the wood grain, making it ideal when sanding joined wood. The 400W motor has ample power reserves for fast, high stock removal and features constant electronics for consistent speed under load.
Variable speed between 4,000 to 14,000rpm allows for fine sanding and polishing of hard and soft wood, varnish, paint and fillers. The aluminium die casting houses a series of dust-proof ball bearings to ensure minimal levels of vibration and a long service life. A power control system prevents scratching when placing the machine directly onto material at speed. The 150mm hook and loop pad, with a multi hole configuration, works using intake air to transport sanding dust away from the pad surface to prevent clogging and keep the surface at a low temperature.
When coupled with a shop vacuum, this results is class leading dust extraction, for an improved rate of material removal, a better finish and a healthy working environment. Extremely well balanced with a ergonomic rubberised grip for comfort this random orbital sander offers complete control when fine sanding and polishing over large or small areas.
