Clamping Bridges – Pack of 10
These clever clamping bridges aid panel glue-ups, and are positioned both above and below the boards, forcing each board into perfect flush alignment as clamping pressure is applied. Their arched profile prevents glue from bonding to the bridges or clamp jaws, eliminating glue smear on the workpiece and reducing time spent in the finishing stage either planing or sanding.
With a bridging distance of 45mm and a bridging height of 14mm, these bridges will clamp over through-inlay strips between boards, accommodating material thicker than the boards. On a longer glue-up, scrap material can be added both above and below the clamping bridges to apply pressure in the middle of workpiece, acting as a 4 way pressure clamp. These clamping bridges can also be used to mitigate the marks or indentations left by sash clamps, pipe clamps or other small-jawed clamps, spreading the clamping force across a wider surface area.
These bridges also feature a 9mm slot for installation onto the bars of parallel jaw clamps, to provide a longer, more stable platform for boards, lifting them clear of the bar to avoid contact from glue. Furthermore, these versatile bridges can also be deployed as clamping squares, ideal for use with F clamps. Each bridge is constructed from strong, engineering-grade plastic to withstand high clamping pressure without deformation. Supplied as a pack of 10. ©
