Jigsaw
This powerful yet lightweight orbital jigsaw offers exceptional control whether cross cutting, rip cutting, bevelling or sawing intricate curves in a wide range of materials. Precision machined internal gearing and an internal counterbalance system both work to reduce vibration in the hand, for the smoothest possible cuts, improved accuracy and increased comfort after extended use.
The 650W motor features a variable speed control dial operating within a no load speed range of between 500 – 3,100 strokes per minute. This widely adjustable range ensures the appropriate speed is always available for the material type, whether operating at faster speeds for softwood or slower speeds for hardwoods and aluminium. With a stroke length of 23mm, the jigsaw has a maximum cutting capacity of 90mm for wood, 20mm for aluminium and 10mm for mild steel. The jigsaw features a standard straight line (up and down) cutting action, as well as 3 orbital or ‘pendulum’ settings which drive the blade in an elliptical motion, thrusting the blade forward on the cutting stroke, into the direction of the material being cut. This action greatly increases the cutting speed on harder materials, whilst putting less strain on the motor and blade. The orbital settings are quickly selected using the side mounted lever, allowing you to optimise the cutting stroke in seconds when moving from material to material.
The die cast aluminium base provides a strong, perfectly flat reference for straight cutting and features a smooth, low friction sub-base for ease of movement. When cutting bevels or mitres, the base is quickly released using the onboard hex key and rotated to the required angle, locating securely into preset stops at 0, 15, 30 and 45 degrees. The jigsaw features a tool-free T shank bayonet fitting blade holder, with blade changes performed in seconds to minimise downtime. The robust, precision machined blade holder provides a secure hold on the blade whilst keeping it square during operation. An LED work light in front of the blade holder floods the working area with light, providing excellent visibility of the blade, workpiece and cut line. A rear-mounted, through body dust port allows easy connection to dust extractors and shop vacuums. Supplied with the jigsaw is a straight edge guide, used to ensure clean, straight rip cuts, ideal for production work. ©
